- Same guild different names. MC / BWL / AQ40 - All Clear. Naxx 40- 4 Wings clear, stopped at Saph prior to TBC.
** Guild deactivated due to many members recieving invites to some high end guilds such as Fusion, DnT, Overrated, Fires of Heaven... ETC
With the reshuffle of many of the higher end guilds, many of us came back together with the idea of just hanging out and not raiding. That didnt last long.

F2W Recruiting Philosophy - 40 mans have returned!
Here it is ladies and gents.
Our recruiting philosophy:
We do not want the 15 great core, carrying the other 10 in a guild. This is common. We refuse to do this!
What do we look for?
- 40 man experience in 1.0
- Military
- Older types 30 +
That is what the guild is composted of that is what we want.
Why? Imagine this, a bubble if you will, a time capsule...
Of nothing but people with 5 years of WoW raiding experience.
This new breed of raider in LK - Naxxtard- has no concept of the days of farming fire pots as a Guild. Building Thunderfury... all the work involved for one person just so the Guild had one or to have 500 fire pots just for 4 hours of Vael attempts...
We want those people! A group that stays together, thick and thin, from game to game... We are trying to build something... a HOME for you to log on, no matter what the medium and enjoy the people as well as get shit done.
Everquest is almost 10 years old. WoW is five. In two expansions where will you be? In 10 years of WoW playing, where will you be? Playing with "Naxxtards" or the new WoW breed? Or, here, playing with guys who have been with the game and raided since its inception with- 10 years- of raiding experience?
We want 40 core players... not just 15.
In Cataclysm, Guilds will be back... we are ALREADY looking to the future and filling the Roster now. With guild achievments we want people who can do that!
We are not recruiting just for our raid team... we are recruiting a GUILD... a FAMILY. Imagine if you will playing table top D n D with guys you have been playing with for years... that is F2W!
COME TALK TO US... and find out more. Class, Gear, all that is not taken into account... just the people.
This is our advertisement on the Elitistjerks.com /LFGuild Forum... Great site, great people!
"We have been to the top of the mountain, and come back down.
About us:
We are mostly older types, early to late 30s, some younger, some older. Most of the guild has been raiding since the MC days, some of us have been together that long.
We are not especially happy with the way WoW has gone. Gear is so damn easy to get these days that servers are flooded with emo "Naxxtards" who believe because they have a few purples they are now "leet" without having the maturity or skill of the dying breed of old school raiders.
Have you ever sat there after all these years and the guild your in and there was always those three to five guys in the guild you remembered and said to yourself, "Damn if I had a guild full of those guys it would be unstoppable."
Miss the days of people not needing to be told to show up with a Flask? Food? Buffs? Those mature raiders you don't have to babysit.
Miss the guild that had grown adults in guild chat that was entertaining yet at the same time not full of immature BS?
Ever had a guild that did not EVER have loot drama? (No exaggeration.)
We have no age restrictions mind you, but we just seem to attract and cater to this age group. We have grown adults, with jobs, wives- some of them in the guild- kids, and responsibilities.
The military part? Most of us are affiliated with it in some form. National Guard, any branch, retirees, we have them all. Not again a requirement but it is just a part of who we are. Not all of us mind you but a lot.
That is us.
Raiding:
We believe in "big boy rules" raiding. No, big long lists of stuff to bring, we do not baby sit. We recruit mature and experienced raiders. Expectations are high, but at the same time we don't coddle, or hold hands, YET we keep an even keeled raid. No yell fests just driven, directed raiding. We believe in ensuring no ones time is wasted.
Most of the core group of players came from high end world class guilds, or have been raiding together at those levels for multiple years. We have been top dog and built from the ground up. Generally we find we get the same results in the limited raiding time we have that other guilds get with a full time schedule.
While "progression" raids are only 3-4 nights a week, there is always something going on.
Times: Generally we raid Sun-Thurs 8pm-12 CST.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Generally we do not openly recruit but the summer blues and holiday season has not been kind to us, that coupled with some Real Life issues has cause us to open our doors.
We have been a guild for over two years and maintained a good strong core of talented players. Almost immediately after Ulduar release we took more than a few RL hits- people getting diagnosed with cancer, among other quite extreme issues. Rather than plug the amount of holes we had, we went dormant. Even after a two month hiatus, we still maintained 90 percent of our raiding core. Thus leaving us with 15 geared, top level players who are now looking for a few more additions to the core, for the long haul.
We could just grab a ton of Naxxtards and raid until it filtered itself out but we just don't have the patience to deal with that. Thus we decided to come here and try this out.
It has worked well. The holidays and general attrition has us still recruiting as it is a never ending process. We still have all of our players in Guild, but some are moving, graduating or have life changes they have to work their WoW schedule around.
If you are mature, motivated, a grown adult with a life and responsibilities but still want to raid with a talented and "older" core of raiders who come ready to raid and not to waste anyone's time. Then... we are for you.
Feel free to email forgottowipe@gmail.com or find us in game for more information. Thank you!
Additional Perspectives:
In the most educated words of my colleague Dejableu, a guild officer, here are his two cents.
"Experience" sums up this guild of ours.
"Experience" is what we are looking for.
With Classic Naxxramas under our belt as well as Sunwell in BC, we have a deep pool of strategies to pull from.
We assign a Main Assist. Not only that but our DPS assists the Main Assist.
We use DKP, your time is rewarded. Loot is not an issue. Some of us have farmed BT for 8 months pre SW and have 3 alts fully geared. Currently in Wrath, 4 months in just before Ulduar we have members with 2 full sets of gear and 2 alts decked out. As one of the MTs I have a full Boomkin set about 3 months in.
You can spend your DKP on your alts and or alt specs. It is your DKP.
Tons of gear to new members. Tons of gear to alts.
We don't have members begging for VC runs in gchat.
We used to be hardcore, server firsts, 8 hours per night wipefests until we get it right, Raiders!!. NOW we have lives, children and simply can't or don't wish to expend that much time and energy on progression content. That doesn't mean we don't come prepared with flasks and food, know how to raid, theorycraft, know our class, know the game. It is just a time constraint.
-----
The guild is what you make of it. If you are looking for a place to call home, to raid for a few hours each night (Sun - Thur 8 PM - Midnight Central) where mature adults make good progress on 25 mans raiding 4 - 5 hours per night then roll an alt on Thunderlord or visit our Forums or come talk to us in game.
We will answer any questions you have and we can even hop onto Vent and chat for a while. You are even welcome to listen in on a raid or two.
Here are more perspectives and responses as posted on the threads, makes life a little easier if I consolidate the information:
For sure. We would like to keep a deep bench. We always rotate players and have some that cant make every night. If you can make every night or are ok with being on the bench if we fill and it isn't your rotation turn then come check us out.
Currently we need about 5 or 6 more good players to fill our roster and have a good 10 player deep bench about 35 total.
Get in on the ground floor and show us what ya got
Oh another key point. Gear is not an issue. If you are an older type raider who just never got into Wrath we are more than willing to invest the time and energy to get you back into the raiding scene and back in the swing. We look at each new addition to the guild as an investment. We want people for the long haul, not just to raid. We are looking to expand our core.
We do have some yungins but it isn't a maturity check per se it is just a cultural thing for the most part. 80s music pop culture etc. All branches of the military are always welcome.
We are filling faster than expected. This is great news
Still looking for casters and another tank, DK or Pally preferably.
Roll a level 1 alt on Thunderlord and give us a holler. We can even get in vent and chat for a bit, no obligations or anything
